Tate Duo

Structural Ceilings

Spans up to 8’ are possible, allowing for more flexibility and few connection points to the building structure. Tate Duo also features a two-layer continuously threaded slot on the underside of the extrusion so that multiple threaded rod diameters may be use for hanging different equipment within a building. Replacing custom-built, on-site structural support systems, such as strut, with Duo offers the most flexible solution for future configuration changes of any pre-designed ceiling solution.

System Performance

The bottom side of the Tate Duo structural grid is available with a M10-1.5/M12-1.75 continuiously threaded dual slot in for mounting items directly to the grid. Refer to the table below for load performance details on the grid and connections to the building structure.

Grid Spacing

If you want the grid spacing to be on a 600mm x 600mm or 600mm x 1200mm module size, use this table to determine tile size requirement:

Note: Maximum tile size = inside grid dimensions minus 3mm. Minimum tile size is based on a minimum overlap on the extrusion flange of 3mm when the tile is shifted all the way to one side.

If you want the grid spacing to be on a larger module size to fit standard 600mm x 600mm or 600mm x 1200mm nominal tile sizes, use this table:
